The Spears Tribe
have become synonymous with two attributes: boisterous bickering and
losing tasks. Surprisingly, there was a semblance of camaraderie in
camp on the morning of the fifth day. They actually spent time to iron
out leadership issues! Unsurprisingly, the team lost to the Swords for
the umpteenth time. Ezugo’s rant about their poor performance and his
attempt to change leadership was like beating a dead horse!
The day’s task was ‘Building Blocks’, designed to task the
communication skills of the warriors. Giant blocks with different
images of the ancient blacksmith were scattered around the task area.
Each tribe’s blocks were marked with their symbols, a sword and a
spear. The teams were to gather their giant blocks and form the image
within 30 minutes. Each team member would be blindfolded, except for
their leaders who would direct them on how to form their respective
image.
At the end of 30 minutes none of the teams could correctly arrange the image completely and correctly. The Sword
tribe was however declared the winning team since the image they
formed bore nearer semblance to the Blacksmith’s, than their noisy
neighbours, the Spears.
There was no reward for the Swords since they did not complete the task. Anthony bore the consequence of the Spear loss. He was to walk blind folded for the rest of the day, thus depending on the guidance of his Tribesmen.
