News just reached that it has been confirmed that About 27 people were reported to be on board of the Aircraft, with about 16 people confirmed dead. The plane crashed shortly after it took off from the Domestic Wing of the Murtala International Airport, Lagos.
Casualties include, Gbenga Obasanjo, son of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the wife of the late governor and his children accompanying the body and many People’s Democratic Party top stalwarts who were traveling for the burial rites to be commenced today in Akure, Ondo State. The son of former presidential aspirant, Chief Olu Falae, Mr Deji Falae and the Nigerian Minister of Culture and Tourism are said to be on board of the plane.
The maker of the Casket in which the body was to be buried, one Mr Okusanya of MIC Casket also died.
He was accompanying the family on goodwill gesture in sympathy.
